Vandiver, Nellie Lou Belleville, MI
Age 75, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2009 at home. She was born January 23, 1934 in Stone, KY, the daughter of James and Polly (Hensley) Kinser.
She married O.H. Vandiver and he preceded her in death. Nellie managed Miller's Ice Cream for ten years and was a member of Ypsilanti First Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors include: one daughter, Tina (Linda) Jumper of Belleville; one son, Robert (Tammy) Cantrell of Ypsilanti; eight grandchildren, Frankie, Kelly, Miranda, Matthew, Joshua, Cody, Jonathan and Kayleigh; two great grandchildren, Erica and Hunter; four sisters, Mary (Wilburn) Denham of Ypsilanti, Bonnie (Lyle) Luft of Ypsilanti, Kay (Jimmy) McKee of Saline and Patty Jewel of OH; six brothers, Eddie (Sue) Kinser of Ypsilanti, Ronnie (Jennifer) Kinser of KY, Asa Kinser of KY, Terry (Tammy) Kinser of KY, Timmy (Carol) Kinser of Ypsilanti and Paul (Sue) Kinser of Ypsilanti; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Leona, Shirley and Brenda, two brothers, Jessie and Bobby and one grandson, Eric. The funeral service will be 1:30 pm Monday, June 1, 2009 at First Free Will Baptist Church, 1244 Holmes Road, Ypsilanti with Rev. Donald Viers of Community Free Will Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-9 pm Saturday and 1-8 pm Sunday at Stark Funeral Service Moore Memorial Chapel.
