Age 75, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2010 at Heartland Health Care Center. She was born November 7, 1934 in Vincennes, IN, the daughter of Lloyd and Lola (Stephenson) Devine.
On May 20, 1949, she married Altas Harrison and he preceded her in death June 30, 2009. Georgia worked for Garwood in Ypsilanti, retiring in 1980 and was a member of Al-Anon. She attended Immanuel Baptist Church. Survivors include: two daughters, Catherine (Jim) Giles of Ypsilanti and Karen (Angie) Harrison of Royal Oak; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; three sisters, Ethel, Peggy and Sharon; two brothers, Walter and Roger; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son Altas Jr. and one brother, Don. The funeral service will be 11:00 am Friday, February 12, 2010 at Stark Funeral Service with Pastor Kent Jennings of Immanuel Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Union-Udell Cemetery. Contributions in her memory may be made to either St. Jude's Hospital or Breast Cancer Research. Envelopes are available at the funeral home where the family will receive friends 2-8 pm Thursday.
